The shaping and finishing process refines the form while revealing the suspended structure within the resin.

The base is cut from aged native maple sourced locally in Olympia, Washington. It is turned and sanded to expose the wood’s weathered character and warm grain, creating a stable platform that contrasts with the luminous resin above.
