Terms of Service

By placing an order with Exotic Wood Epoxy, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

Products

All of our urns and vessels are handcrafted individually. Natural variation in wood grain, color, and epoxy patterning is inherent to the materials and is not a defect. Product photography is representative — your piece will be similar but not identical to what is shown.

Custom Orders

  • Custom orders require a deposit before production begins. The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of order.
  • Once production has begun, custom orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.
  • Lead times are estimates. We will communicate any significant delays promptly.
  • Custom and personalized orders are non-returnable and non-exchangeable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Returns & Exchanges

Please refer to our full Urn Return & Exchange Policy for complete details. Key points:

  • Urns that have been used to hold cremated remains are final sale.
  • Unused urns may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 14 days of delivery, subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • Damaged or defective items must be reported within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence.

Shipping

  • We ship within the United States. International shipping is available on a case-by-case basis — contact us before ordering.
  • Shipping times are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for carrier delays.
  • Risk of loss passes to the customer upon handoff to the carrier.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the purchase price of the item. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

Disclaimer

We are a woodworking studio, not a licensed funeral service provider. Please review our full Legal Disclaimer for important information about cremated remains handling and product suitability.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes shall be resolved in Washington State courts.
