"Hoh Rainforest Floor" Pinecones in Epoxy Hand Turned Candle Holder on Zebrawood

The Hoh Rainforest does not whisper — it breathes. More than 140 inches of rain fall each year on the Olympic Peninsula, and the result is something from another world: ancient Sitka spruce draped in club moss, the air so thick with green it feels filtered. The forest floor is soft underfoot — layered with years of fir needles, twigs, and fallen pinecones, each one a small capsule of everything the forest has shed and kept.

This candle holder was made to carry the Hoh home. Real pinecones are suspended in deep forest-green epoxy resin, revealed in cross-section by Jeff's lathe — their rings and scales made suddenly visible, like a secret the forest kept until now. The base is turned from zebrawood, its bold striped grain echoing the light that falls through old-growth canopy. It is one of a kind, and entirely unrepeatable.
