The "Forest at Twilight" Canary Wood, Epoxy, and Pinecone Bowl is a one of a kind handcrafted epoxy and hardwood vessel. Pinecones are suspended within layered violet and blue resin, set into a solid canary wood base. It introduces depth and contrast into a space, carrying the cool movement of sky and dusk while grounding itself in warm grain. The room shifts around it; light pools in its curves and settles into its color.

Process & Materials

This bowl is cast in multiple resin pours, building bands of violet, indigo, and soft blue. Pinecones are placed intentionally at varied depths so their structure is revealed from every angle. As the resin cures, it preserves the intricate geometry of each cone, locking shadow and texture in place. The form is then shaped and refined, allowing the swirling pigments and organic inclusions to surface through the final profile.

The canary wood base is cut, turned, and sanded to highlight its natural golden tone and flowing grain. Its warmth counters the cool resin body, creating a defined separation between base and bowl.

Subtle shifts in pigment density, cone placement, and grain pattern are inherent to the making process.

Measuring approximately 11 inches across and 5 inches tall, the bowl presents a wide, confident rim and a stable lower body.
